Above Capital is an independent Management Company focused on managing Private Equity Funds in the Portuguese market.
Above Capital is experienced in working with existing and prospective investors seeking for a bespoke, flexible, and in-depth approach to investing in Portugal.
The company is registered and regulated by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), with registry number 180696.

Paulo Lima Santos
Board Member
Lawyer with diverse professional experience, from corporate law, project financing, asset management, financial instruments, international trade, real estate, and banking.
Throughout his career, he’s worked as a legal and economic advisor and lawyer for several Portuguese and foreign companies, taking part in multiple national and international projects and investments.
Luís Filipe Branco
Board Member
Graduate in Management, with over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector.
For the past 11 years, he has served as Senior Real Estate Asset Manager at Caixa Gestão de Ativos.
Paulo Pinheiro
Board Member
Graduated in Business Organization and Management from ISCTE and holds a Master’s degree in Management Sciences from INDEG/ISCTE.
He has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, encompassing retail banking, specialized credit, real estate, and the automotive sector.
Pedro Silva Pereira
Investment Director
With experience as a Partner at Dif Capital, he has developed a solid career in financial markets and asset management.
For nine years, he was a portfolio manager in macro and quantitative funds, having also served as Investment Director at a family office and Credit Analyst at Atrium Investimentos.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Nova School of Business and Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and is CAIA certified. He is Finance Lecturer at Universidade Europeia.
Beatriz Paula Valério
Compliance Officer
Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and partner in a renowned law firm since 2021.
Lawyer with over 25 years of experience in various areas, namely Civil Law and Arbitration, Litigation and Extrajudicial Conflict Resolution, Family and Succession Law, Commercial Law, and Real Estate Law.
Afonso Lima Santos
KYC Officer
Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, with training in Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
Currently works in the compliance area, focusing on KYC and risk prevention.
João Pós-de-Mina
Advisor
Senior Engineer (member of the Order of Engineers no. 61112), with over 30 years of experience in the areas of construction and maintenance of developments, real estate asset management and project management, both nationally and internationally.
He has worked in markets such as India, China, Dubai, and the United States, collaborating with clients such as the Champalimaud Foundation, IPO, Medinfar, Magnus, Vita Luxus, and Solares do Alto Minho.
He is Partner at H-MAN – Construção e Manutenção de Empreendimentos, Lda., and HB&PM, Lda. – Gestão de Ativos Imobiliários.
